Toda construction, Fujitsu and kinsoku jointly developed the prototype system of the underground buried object detection system. The system uses AI model to efficiently detect the location of underground buried pipelines and prevent the underground pipelines from being damaged.
The system uses Fujitsu's AI technology to analyze the ground penetrating radar waveform appearing in the cross-sectional view, and estimates the position of the buried pipeline in the plane and depth direction according to its continuous state. It can also output the results in 2D / 3D models.
The system has the following characteristics: 1) the accuracy of pipeline detection can be better improved through AI model; 2) The difference of waveform patterns is analyzed by AI to determine whether the pipeline is metallic or non-metallic and whether there is water in the pipeline; 3) Compared with manual analysis, the analysis time of waveform diagram can be reduced by more than 75%; 4) The app application can be used to view the plan, section, pipe depth and other information; 5) The detected buried pipeline position results can be automatically generated into 2D / 3D models, saving the man hours required for drawing production.
It is reported that the trial operation of the system has been completed from June to November 2021 to verify its feasibility. The system may be put into practical use from April 2022.
